We have an opening for a full-time, permanent Cybersecurity Threat Intel Analyst to join our talented, dynamic team.

As a Cybersecurity Threat Intel Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the mission of the Treasury through a wide range of strategic, technical, and operational responsibilities. These duties will include safeguarding Treasury assets by collecting, analyzing, and disseminating actionable threat intelligence. This position supports the Security Operations Center (SOC) and broader cybersecurity strategy by identifying emerging threats, enabling proactive defense, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

This position will be required to work onsite daily in the DC Metro area, with site visits to Martinsburg, WV and Memphis, TN.

Duties

As one of our teams Cybersecurity Threat Intel Analyst, you will Collect and analyze threat data from open-source intelligence (OSINT), dark web, and commercial feeds to identify adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). You will be responsible for developing and maintaining threat intelligence reports, including indicators of compromise (IOCs) and actionable insights, using frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK. Working directly with the senior SOC Analysts you will be responsible for staying current with cyber threat landscapes and share updates with stakeholders via briefings or dashboards. 

In this role, a typical day will include: 

  • Collaborate with SOC teams to integrate intelligence into detection rules, playbooks, and monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR). 
  • Support proactive threat hunting based on intelligence to uncover hidden risks. 
  • Support incident response by providing contextual intelligence during escalated events. 
  • Assist in training SOC analysts on leveraging intelligence for improved threat detection. 
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting is completed in adherence to contract and SLA requirements. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Cybersecurity related field (4 additional years’ experience in lieu of degree) 
  • 10 Years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in SOC environments 
  • Proficiency with intelligence tools (e.g., ThreatConnect, Recorded Future) and data analysis techniques 
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., GCTI, Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst) a plus 
  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail
  • Active Secret clearance required
