Job Description

We are currently conducting an internal search for Raw Material Supervisor for our Mountain Home operations. Raw Material Supervisors are responsible for managing raw material inventory to meeting production needs. Responsible for supervising and leading 3 shifts of employees in the raw materials area and collaborating with warehouse. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Skills

• Effectively utilize labor and other resources to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Perform managerial functions including, but not limited to employee scheduling, performance management, disciplinary action, performance reviews, responding to employee questions and concerns, work direction, ensuring safe work practices, etc.
• Responsible for documentation and recordkeeping
• Complete and review department paperwork and reports daily
• Conduct inspections of equipment and procedures
• Review SAP and internal reports to identify material needs and expiration risks
• Monitor cold storage inventories and coordinate transfers with logistic teams
• Order and manage raw materials
• Coordinate and use of trim materials
• Coordinate transfers and orders with logistic team
• Manage sales and purchase of excess trim and specialty cheeses

Requirements

• An Associate Degree in a related field with 5 years of experience or a Bachelor Degree in a related field with 2 years of experience is preferred. Experience in food manufacturing is required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Good conflict management and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
• Strong organizational skills
• Tactfully maintain confidentiality of information with employees and public
• Knowledge of SAP and ERP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Must pass a 75 lbs. lift test if not already done so.
• Position is M-F with occasional Saturdays
